Homemade Bath oil for relaxation and sleep

Aromatherapy had gone through rough times in history. Time and again it was discovered by great physicians, only to be forgotten as civilization rose and fell. During the dark age, the "Black Death" swept the Europe continent and it was only during the second arrival of Black Death in 1600s that people started to once again regain the ancient healing and cleansing power of aroma oils. I personally am using herbs and essential oils because they are cheaper and more effective than chemical based drugs. 

Lavender oil

I use lavender oil as part of my sleep ritual. Sometimes I would "accidentally" delay sleep time and become wired. Normally, you would need to take a few days to readjust your sleep time if you slipped, but with natural sleep aids like lavender oil, you can reestablish your sleep schedule much quicker. 

A bath with sea salt, essential oil, or bentonite clay can heal muscle aches, migraine, relax the nerves, and detox the body of heavy metals. It is an economic and easy way to stay healthy. 

Snoring, Congestion, and Allergy

If you have trouble with putting pets or babies to sleep, use an aroma diffuser to diffuse the sweet smell of lavender over the rooms, or place a few drops into a water spray bottle to spray over pillows to help induce sleep. 

In allergy seasons, essential oils such as lavender and eucalyptus could treat nasal congestion and allergies. 

Words of warning- some people might be allergic to even essential oils, but it doesn't hurt to experiment to see what works. For people who are allergic to the oils, they could try detox to calm down immune sensitivity. 

Many people have the misfortune of a snoring spouse. The search for snoring aids can be a headache. The answer to that is adding eucalyptus to a diffuser at night. It moisturizes the air way of the snorer. When the tissue that usually vibrates when snoring is moisturized by the healing oil, it stops the vibration and therefore the snoring. 

This one simple tip could save many relationships! 

EPsom Salt Bath

To alkaline the body and heal from muscle aches, migraine headaches, and arthritis in the joints, all you need is an epsom salt bath. Forget about sleep pills and pain meds. They are expensive and dangerous. By bathing with epsom salt, you absorb minerals such as magnesium through the skin, which is the safest and most effective way to get the magnesium you need. A lot of people are magnesium deficient, which is why insomnia is rampant. Magnesium is necessary for the body to dilate blood vessels and relax the muscle. 

Essential oils for Insomnia

Essential Sleep Formula

What You’ll Need:

8 drops roman chamomile essential oil

3 drops clary sage essential oil

3 drops bergamot essential oil

Directions: Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a dark-colored bottle. Add a few drops of this mixture to your pillow to help you fall asleep.  

Essential Sleep Diffuser Blend

What You’ll Need:

3 drops of lavender essential oil

3 tbsp. jojoba oil

Directions: Thoroughly mix all ingredients together.

Add to your diffuser
