signs of sleep apnea

Having signs of sleep apnea do not mean you must have sleep apnea. Other conditions can contribute to the symptoms. Fear not! With some commitment, you can reverse almost any condition, including sleep apnea.

Signs of Sleep Apnea:

  • Wake up with dry throat
  • Snoring
  • Choke, pauses of breath, or gasp during sleep
  • Fatigue during the day
  • General drowsiness
  • Morning Headaches
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Cognitive problems
  • Shallow sleep or insomnia

Sleep apnea is a serious issue. Any delay to treatment can have lifelong health consequences such as heart failure, high blood pressure, car accident, diabetes, or even sudden death. As a sufferer of sleep apnea, I know the cost of carrying this burden without a proper diagnosis. For many years, I was confused and had extremely low self confidence because everything I attempted at achieving was sabotaged by ADHD and fatigue (side effects of sleep apnea). I kept trying very hard to rise above mediocracy. I was always under acute stress because I never stopped pushing myself and felt guilty for being "lazy" and "unfocused".

If you have sleep apnea, once you received treatment, the first thing you will notice is a higher energy level. You will be able to socialize more and achieve more. It makes a world of difference.

If you suspect you may have sleep apnea, you should do a sleep apnea test with a sleep disorder doctor. Sleep clinics in most countries require a referral from a family doctor.

What if You do have Sleep APnea?

Suddenly you get the explanations to most of your life problems. It can be psychologically overwhelming! It is common to feel a sense of regret for lost time and opportunities. However, do not let this feeling distract you from proper treatment. You have much work ahead of you. The good thing is, you will continuously see improvement in your qualify of life if you keep working at it, and eventually cure sleep apnea for good!

The most common answer to sleep apnea is a CPAP (continuous positive air pressure) machine to help you breath at night. Attention! It is only a temporary solution, at least in my informed opinion. Your health is in your own hands. My experience taught me that there were only very little conventional doctors and medicine can do to reverse most health issues. Most medical solutions come with undesirable side effects too.

To completely reverse this condition, you need sleep apnea cures. You want to avoid permanent dependancy on medications, dental appliance, or sleep apnea breathing machine. Most people can permanently breath better by expanding their dental palate, eating nutritious diets, losing weight, and exercising their tongue and upper airway muscle.
